Crayola's music-making children's app has been available on Android devices for a bit already, but now it's time for the App Store to get some mix-mastering, Crayola DJ love.

Crayola DJ gives kids lots of tracks and loops (close to 100, actually) created by professional DJs and lets them go wild mixing everything together, adding in instruments, picking from different musical genres, and using DJ tools like cross faders and tempo sliders to create their own tunes. Then they can put on a virtual dance party (complete with a personalized light show) and try to earn points by entertaining the crowd. If they're feeling particularly groovy they can even go head-to-head with a friend. And of course, the music they make can be saved and shared later.

You can get your hands on Crayola DJ right now for $4.99.
