How to command and conquer in Raid HQ

Raid HQ is a satisfyingly deep base building game with over-the-top macho action and explosions. This little free to play bundle gives you a lot to do from managing a squad to building the most powerful base you possibly can.

On top of all of that, you’ll need to manage your resources and hit the high seas to raid other bases. Luckily for you, we’ve pulled together a few tips to help you keep everything in order.

Keep those builders busy

Your base starts off with only the bare essentials, so make sure you get to work improving your defence right away!

Begin by building all of the different facilities you’ve unlocked so far. Once you have one of each (although a few extra gold mines never hurt), you can start focusing on upgrading. Don’t forget to upgrade your mech as well - it’s your last bastion of defense when enemy raiders come knocking.

Pick the right squad mate for the job

Complete raids and missions and you'll be rewarded you with new squad member cards. You can only bring four of these into a raid with you, so choose carefully.

When going into a raid, it’s important to play against the enemy base’s weaknesses. Check the color of the enemy’s buildings and weapons. You’ll want to choose a team with colors that are strong against the enemy’s before heading into battle for the best results.

Promote your squad

If you want to take on more difficult challenges, you’ll need a hearty team of seasoned fighters. That means you’ll have to promote your squad members to increase their HP and damage per second.

To do so, collect medals by fighting weapons and bases that correspond to your squad member’s color. Fighting red turrets, for example, will reward you with red medals which you can use to promote any of your red team members.
