How to create bigger words in Spellspire

Words have power. At least they do in Spellspire,a game about blasting out magical attacks by making words out of a jumble of letters.

And it's a lot of fun. But if you want to be the best, you're going to have to think tactically when you start chucking letters around.

Don't worry though, we're here to help. With these clever strategies you'll soon be slaughtering demons with seven letter words in no time flat.

Learn your anagrams and endings

This is perhaps the most important tip we can give you. There are strong combinations of letters that can be used in three or four different ways.

Whether it's simply switching the letters around to make new words, or using the last three letters of a word with different first letters. AIL can get you MAIL, PAIL, FAIL, SAIL, TAIL, and so on. Find these combos and work on them.

Three letters good

If you're stuck for a longer word it's worth chucking out some three letter ones in order to keep your damage-dealing going.

The clock ticking down in the centre of the screen shows you how long until an enemy attacks, and killing them with a bunch of three letter words rather than one massive one can be just as effective.

Don't go searching

It can be tempting to spend your time trying to find the biggest words, but more often than not that'll lead to you getting your face smashed in by skeletons - and that's not the aim of the game.

While big words do massive damage, it's usually best to focus on four letter words. You'll often find that as you cast smaller spells, you'll find yourself figuring out the longer words in an organic fashion.

Save your big ones

The last enemy you fight is usually much tougher than the others, so it's a good idea to save any plurals to do some impressive damage.

If you've got an S in the mix then it's a pretty good bet that a lot of the four letter words you're throwing down can be pluralised. Save these in the bank and use them to hit the stronger enemies where it hurts - in their health bars.
