Take flight this summer with Legacy of Discord - Furious Wings next big update

Legacy of Discord - Furious Wings is back with a huge new summer update to keep you going during those long dog days. The game’s introducing a brand new Puppet Master class, along with a pretty cool Mechanize feature and the multiplayer Treasure Raider mode. There’s plenty here to explore, so let’s get started, shall we?

The new Puppet Master class is of course the star of this latest update. The Puppet Master users her customizable mechanized puppet to sow chaos on the battlefield. This class packs quite a punch. Her base attack, Mecha Assault does heavy melee damage with a mechanical fist, and her other abilities are no laughing matter, either. The Puppet Master’s ultimate skill, Obliterate, overloads the puppet’s energy reserves, sending a full force blast of energy to decimate enemies. Players gain access to the Puppet Master at level 62 with 5,000 diamonds and after participating in the new Treasure Raider mode at least six times.

Once you’ve gotten the Puppet Master under your belt, you’ll also gain access to the Mechanize feature, which allows you to build a hulking, customizable Mecha out of six parts. Upgrade your Mecha and equip it with melee, ranged, and core weapons. As you enhance your Mecha, you’ll be able to form Affinities with the weapons you select, allowing you to create your own unique, unstoppable fighting machine.

You can test all of these new features out in the new Treasure Raider mode, either with five other players or on your own. Enter the Treasure Raider dungeon, fighting your way through waves of monsters to take down the big boss at the end. If you’re successful, you’ll spawn a chest guarded by even more monsters. Defeating them could give you access to some incredible treasures.

Furious Wing's Celesital Construction event has also got underway this week and will run until this Friday, offering Celestial Tokens as well as personal and guild ranking rewards as prizes. A Super Reward is also up for grabs each day by hitting the required amount of ranking points. To pick up even bigger rewards, make sure to make contributions of materials and diamonds, but take note that if you leave your guild before the day's rankings are calculated, your contribution points won't count towards your guild.

Think you’re ready to see what Legacy of Discord - Furious Wings has in store for you? You can download the game for free right now on the App Store and Google Play.

World of Gunships by GameSpire arrives on iOS

Posted by Luke Frater on April 18th, 2018
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Chopper enthusiasts on iOS needn’t twiddle their thumbs any longer (except to direct hot lead at their enemies) – GameSpire’s World of Gunships is finally available on Apple devices. This aerial shooter puts you in control of an attack helicopter as you take on other players and NPCs in a battle to the death.

There are a few different modes to play around with. Death Match does what it says on the fuselage, pitting you against other players from around the world, whilst Teamplay divides players into two groups for a war in the sky. Campaign mode challenges you with various missions requiring your firepower and flying expertise to complete.

As you play, you’ll unlock, upgrade and customise more than 20 gunships, all with differing stats. During battle, you have your main cannon for lower-powered automatic fire, and your missiles for sporadic but explosive attacks. While your main cannon has unlimited ammo, firing too much in quick succession will cause the gun to overheat. Missiles and fuel are finite, and your gunship will accumulate damage over time. Luckily, the enemies you defeat sometimes drop ammo, refuelling canisters and repair spanners to keep you in the fight.

The controls in World of Gunships are straightforward enough – the pad on the left is for movement and direction, the pad on the right for firepower. The graphics are detailed, fully 3D and in a third-person perspective so you can admire your choice of camo skin. The HUD includes all the detail you need such as altitude, fuel capacity and where your enemies are, without feeling cluttered.

Take to the skies and test your mettle against players from around the world. Download World of Gunships for free from the App Store.
