Let’s start with the basics. Long ago, what you and I call “video content” was divided into just 2 groups: Movies and TV shows. When your favorite show was on, you had to arrange your entire life to be in front of a television set so that you could see it, because it legitimately might never be on again for the rest of your life. Also, the picture was so fuzzy and indistinct, it was like watching Fonzie’s adventures through 8 Vaseline waterfalls.
Anyway, that was horrible. TV is great now. You guys watching “Game of Thrones”? It’s like a really dirty soap opera that, once or twice an episode, is interrupted by a Lord of the Rings Dragon Battle! What about “BoJack Horseman,” you hip to this one yet? See, it seems like it’s going to just be silly and funny, because it’s an animated show about a Will Arnett Horse, but then it’s really dark and makes you feel feelings. It’s on Netflix. You should check it out.
So, yeah, TV in 2015 is THE BEST, and technology keeps making it better. We can find all the best stuff that’s happening and put it right here in an app that you can walk around with and watch whenever you want. And we don’t just track down the TV moments you might have missed because you were out, busy, doing things, not in front of a TV. We also follow the news about what’s happening with your favorite stars and shows, highlight new stuff you should watch before your friends ruin the endings for you, even the best TV podcasts! What are podcasts?
OK, see, in the beginning, if you wanted to hear talk radio, you had to get a radio...
