Description
Try the experience of a powerful but at the same time simple tool, a real Anemometer directly to your Mac.
With an innovative design, inspired by the instruments of the aircraft, this App combines the concept of the wind with the compass resulting in speed and wind direction integrated in the compass.
Anemometer gives the in real time direction and wind speed.
Make sure you are connected to the Internet. At this point the application will detect your location. The display will show the name of the location, the direction and intensity of the wind. You can choose between 5 units (knots, mph, km/h, m/s or Beaufort).

Not Real Time
The description of the app states that it gives you real time wind data. It does not. It updates when you start the software and then never again until you quit and restart. It also does not let you choose a location so it must use location services which, in my case, is close by but many miles from where the I live. Both of these issues are really bad considering what the software is supposed to be doing for you! Come on developers. This can not be hard to fix! It is certainly not worth $2 otherwise! (Using on an iMac under Mavericks.)
This works fine for what I need
You do need to refresh the display to get current information. I would like to see a redresh button added. The work around is to click the settings button, then click the Altimiter button to get current information. This gives me a moment to see what the data was before I refresh.
Worthless
Waste of money. Does not, and has not, worked since i bought it. Wind speed always shows 0, even when the wind was blowing 60 mph during hurricane Irma. Don’t understand offering a product and taking someone’s money when the product doesn’t work.
