App Description
The Reading Age Check App takes a photo of any text and gives you an immediate Reading Age. This ensures that you can buy a book that your child can read or Teachers can match reading material to their students Reading Ages.
An additional download, is a series of easy to use online ´cards´ which give examples of text for a range of Reading Ages from 6 years to 12 years.
A second, additional download, offers a range of helpful hints to make lessons more accessible and support you to make the small adjustments that make all the difference.
A third, additional download, demonstrates how to make a worksheet easier or harder, to match the student's Reading Age.

“I was lucky enough to be able to pilot the Text Checker in my school. Using it is so easy,I can’t believe the difference it has made in my lessons. Using the Text Checker I looked to see if the text I was offering was appropriate for my students Reading Ages. The helpful hints on the back of each card were very useful. Within days the effect was noticeable, a lot of my worksheets hit the bin and many of the niggling behaviour problems in lessons have now disappeared because the students are able to get on with the work and are experiencing more success in lessons….
