Love Hate Update ,

I love this

I had the Notion website and an account on there but I found the to-do list aspect to be hard to use and inconvenient because you would have to go in and manually delete things once you marked them as done. I was skeptical when I got this app but as soon as it popped up in my task bar I knew it would be of great use to me. It's easy access and simple to use features make it much easier to manage all of my work.

College is a little easier

As someone who struggles to stay in order, when Apple took the Mac's launchpad screen (and with it, sticky notes) I freaked because I had no idea Notion existed!! Completely erases every other task app I've used.

Integrated app doesn't work well

Notion is pretty complex to "get right" on the web. As an app, I only use the feature where the lightbulb icon sits in the menu bar and you can add ToDos to it. In that setting, the app is really inflexible,

1) it keeps losing the cursor and you need to quite and reopen to add the next to do item
2) new text just get added to the end of the sentence unless you specifically use an arrow key to toggle left/back (ie mouse click doesn't do anything).
3) custom sorting ToDos is not possible, I normally type from the top of my paper to do list and move down. Meaning the last entry in the Notion App is on the top of the list (so the list is in reverse order)
4) items that are crossed off as complete go into a Master Completed list that is sorted Alphabetically. Rather than something logical, like at least Chronologically??

It's nice to have the icon/number up, but pretty annoying to use so I end up straying away from it over and over. Will probably just delete.
