With a single tap, the app can optionally query over the internet NASA's ASTER GDEM dataset for the ground elevation at your particular location. This can often be faster and more accurate that waiting for the device's own GPS chip to determine elevation.
TODAY SCREEN widget:
Allows you to see elevation even before phone unlock.
