Great game, but...

Like the other review mentions, nothing is entirely intuitive. Which is annoying, but it's extremely compelling for replays because of it as you constantly second guess yourself.
Sometimes the second guessing is annoying and some situations are forced for the sake of plot, in a way undermining some choices you may make to be the best.
The game is modeled after raising children and complicated by politics. A wonderful combination.

Really Enjoyable!

What a great escape this game was! The writing was so well done and the story so immersive. I've played a few games like this in the past but I always felt like every question might punish me and make me regret my decisions. With The Last Monster Master I instead felt like the game flowed and changed with my decisions which felt like a much more connected experience for me. Really enjoyable. But, there was one part I felt regret over, I didn't train one monster perfectly and genuinely felt awful about it--Oh poor Wadigu, I AM SO SORRY! It was my fault completely! I definitely look forward to replaying this game again sometime soon!

Totally worth the price

The last monster hunter probably has to be one of my favorite choose your own path books to date, and it's because of 2 things. The amazing endings and the fact that every choice does matter. If you make a bad choice such as you treat a character rudely it's going to come back and bite you for it. But it doesn't mean that this game is hard, it's just that when you play this your going to have to think before you choose something instead of playing without taking a moment to think.
