2013 marked the inaugural iRecruit – as first events go, many observed with a wait and see attitude. We have learned that there are as many naysayers in the world of business, as there are those who want to see you genuinely create something good, smart and successful – both spur us on either ways as we work to exceed expectations.
I remember switching on the TV in my hotel room the morning of iRecruit 2013 – the BBC World Headline “Highest Unemployment ever in Europe”, did seem a little illogical walking out the door to what we had tagged as Europe’s leading Conference & Expo for Talent & Recruitment! Therein, lay a spurious relationship to the events success – no matter the market conditions, talent management in the broader sense - finding, hiring, developing, nurturing ..... leading diversely intelligent people of all generations and walks of life remains the biggest pain for most organisations. The inaugural event was a resounding success, we hit difficult targets during testing times and amongst all that chaos, we managed to send people home with an extra hop in their step! … a few of our unsuspecting customers showed their true colors in suggesting a preference for iRecruit over our flagship event.
2014 will be the 2nd Year for iRecruit.
