The app presents a curated selection of 450 albums in high quality audio streams by 80 star artists from the label’s peerless roster and in so doing represents all the famous composers from across the centuries and genres - from Bach through Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin to Tchaikovsky, Debussy and Rachmaninov.

DG DISCOVERY curates in two ways:
· a carefully curated app discovery catalogue
· a homepage featuring 12 playlists and featured albums, rotating weekly.

PLAYLIST ROTATION AND TAP-TO-BUY - The app homepage presents 12 artist-, composer- and miscellaneously-themed playlists alongside specifically featured releases, rotating on a weekly basis. Enough to last many listeners through each week! And the app is specially structured for those that like any of the playlist tracks to easily move through to the full work and album from which the track is taken – and purchase the download from iTunes Music Store too.

AN EVER-EXPANDING ACTIVE APP CATALOGUE – In synch with the weekly playlist curation the app will be introducing a permanent flow of new albums. (We envisage at least 20 new albums per month.) So expert listeners will feel just as comfortable with the wealth of repertoire and different artist interpretations to browse through in the app catalogue.

METADATA – FINALLY! In a first for classical music on smartphones, the app presents the repertoire metadata complete & cleanly presented on mobile devices. Anyone who has visited the Deutsche Grammophon website catalogue will know about our unbending passion for cleanly presenting complete information about an album and its tracks. For many classical users, not only the who, but the when and the where of a recording is often critical to know. DG DISCOVERY presents ALL the necessary information where no other mobile service can currently compete.

Deutsche Grammophon offers a subscription music service. Buy your subscription with an in-App Purchase for 3.99 USD per month (renewing monthly) or at the discounted rate of 35.99 USD per year (2.99 USD per month). Subscriptions renew at the same rate automatically 24 hours prior to the end of the period subscribed to.

Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the device’s Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is permitted during the active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a user purchases a subscription.
