Description

This app invites you to explore the relative motions of our solar system's planets, their moons, and several exoplanet systems. It is based on ideas presented in "A Little Book of Coincidence" by John Martineau. Are the amazing patterns created by these orbiting bodies just a coincidence, or is something more than that going on? Take a look and see what you think. Be sure to check out the special relationship between the Earth and Venus.

What’s New

Version 2.3

Two exoplanet systems have been added which display some remarkable resonances.

Fascinating

Makes a point regarding the complex interactions between objects in the solar system. I would have enjoyed having Mars included. Would be interesting to include the ability to perturb the orbits and see what happens. Would also be interesting to visualize the effect of resonant orbits. This is very reminiscent of works published by Donald Patten.
