Description

Search for the lost Incan city known as La Ciudad de las Nubes in the mountains of Colombia. Your fledgling archaeologist will battle venomous pit vipers, tropical diseases, and the FARC guerrilla army to secure fame, fortune, and tenure at a prestigious university. Alcohol, lustful young students, and Incan spirits delight and bedevil you along the way.

"To the City of the Clouds" is a thrilling interactive adventure novel where your choices determine how the story proceeds. The game is entirely text-based--without graphics or sound effects--but powered by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Choose your persona, your sexual orientation, and your propensity to wear khaki native huipiles...then let the adventure begin!

A Bit of a Let Down

I found this to be a bit on the short side. While I did enjoy the story the first time, I finished it in about 20 minutes. In my opinion, not worth 1.99. As with other CoG games, I think they should be free to download, but have ads instead of charging for the app.

First review

A very well written interactive novel for young adults who enjoy a book that allows you to decide its path instead of a fixed journey. This is the next of a group of well written CYOA games on the App Store that takes you on a journey of morals and adventure for fame and fortune and I must say after playing it several times I believe it to be of high calibre and look forward to the next one. Keep up the good work and sorry for the lack of detail I don't want to spoil a good story for those who read this review.

Solid and Personalized

What I love about this game is that it plays out a classic fantasy that all adventure fans have: The Treasure/Artifact Hunter. The game takes great care in forming the player's character personally and physically. Also, this is a great concept and it has many exciting moments. However, the story feels somewhat rushed and through the actual journey. Understanding that this does allow for quick and multiple play-throughs, there is a huge chunk of detail missing that could keep even the most distracted readers engaged until the end.
