Enhancement for iOS12

App Description

Dysphagia2Go is an application developed by Speech-Language Pathologists John du Bois and Tiffani Wallace to help you document observations and data relevant to swallowing evaluations. Dysphagia2Go transfers the functions previously filled by paper, computers, and other devices to the more efficient interface of the iPad.

Dysphagia2Go combines philosophies and input from inpatient hospital, outpatient, and home care clinical perspectives to provide a thorough template for dysphagia evaluations. Dysphagia2Go allows you to input information from your chart review or patient interview including lab values, medications, respiratory status, meals, history of pneumonia, etc.

After you have completed the chart review, Dysphagia2Go allows you to use enter information regarding the patient's oral mech exam with assessment of the lips, teeth, tongue, hyolaryngeal complex, velum, gag reflex and a quick cranial nerve assessment. Record your cervical auscultation results, assessment of vocal quality and speech intelligibility.

Next, the Bedside Swallow Trials section prompts you to look at the patient's positioning, any at-risk behaviors and then to assess each swallow from dry swallows to regular consisteny foods, assessing anterior maintenance, swallow delay, laryngeal elevation and coughing,

Finally, list your recommendations for food and liquid consistency, exercises per deficit , maintenance techniques including chin tuck, alternations, food/liquid placement. Also include follow-up recommendations such as instrumental examinations, in-service, treatment frequency and re-assessment.

Dysphagia2Go constructs a cumulative, editable report which can be exported, e-mailed, or printed. Saving data within the app allows the user to manage, maintain, and draw upon past reports as necessary.

Dysphagia2Go can be used to:
-Enter chart review, observation, and evaluation text data .
-Maintain caseload information and previous evaluation data for future evaluations.
-Print or share complete reports via e-mail in several formats for continued editing.
-Save reports in exportable PDF format for viewing in PDF-compatible apps.

* Dysphagia2Go relies on security measures that are built-in on the iPad.
