App Description

Style and creativity meet in this bilingual (English and Brazilian Portuguese) tour of the second of the National Museum of African Art’s “Artists in Dialogue” series. Two artists, Sandile Zulu of South Africa and Henrique Oliveira of Brazil, have engaged in a visual call and response that transcends national or geographic borders. Take a tour of the exhibition guided by curator Karen Milbourne or listen to the artists describe the works of art, talk about one another and discuss their collaborative process in their own words. This application invites you to join the conversation using Twitter, to experiment virtually with the artists’ technique in an art-making game, test your knowledge of South Africa and Brazil, and learn more about what’s happening at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art.
