The guide has been created by professional published ecologists working alongside members of the Hardy Orchid Society.

Have you ever been on a walk in the countryside and experienced the excitement of finding a wild orchid? Orchid Id is a great tool to help you quickly and easily identify species.

It’s great fun to use, too. With OrchidId identification can be enjoyed by the whole family, and can engage children with the natural world around them. For the orchid enthusiast, there is comprehensive anatomical and ecological information, with high quality images.

When you have identified an orchid you have found, you can log it by sending us a photo and recording it on our map. See how many species you can find this year!

The app does not need an internet connection, all content is downloaded when the app is purchased.

SUNBIRD field guides are the only products on the market that use the KUSAM species identification methodology. This state of the art method is a modern taxonomic keying system designed specifically for use on mobile devices.
