Description

★★★★★ Our Little Miss Muffet is #3 on the reader’s choice BEST KIDS APPS 2011 list, and available on the Mac App Store ★★★★★
“Baby Animals Match” is a premium memory game for preschoolers. It will help them learn the names of baby animals whilst improving their memory skills, all in an entertaining game.

The game consists of matching baby animals to their parents. All the animals announce their names when revealed and there is also a fun animation and sound made when the match occurs.

Once all the matches are made, the animal pairs animate and say their names continuously until your preschoolers decide to replay the game, by deflating the replay balloon with a click.

Special care is taken to make the game’s interface extremely simple and avoid adding options and menus that would catch your child’s attention and diminish the educational quality of the game.
The Game will open in full screen mode and hide all menus and the dock, so your child can only play the game and cannot exit it until you decide so. Both right click and left click will work the same within the game, so your child will not be frustrated by clicking on the wrong side of the mouse.

If you are learning English this is also a great way to learn proper English pronunciation and new words. Baby Animals Match is made in the UK so expect a slight british accent.

There are two versions of this game on the iOS App Store, an iPhone/iPod touch version and a HD iPad version (Universal).

Great Free app

Great app. Nice and simple. My son loves this app and has the biggest smile on his face when he clicks the replay ballon. I love that the app is full screen and to quit and access the settings require 2-key keyboard commands (cmd-q, cmd-h). This keeps my son from changing the settings by accident or quitting the app and rearranging my desktop :)

The ipad version of this and the letter matching are now on the ipad as well.

My only suggestion is to have an option to replace the mouse pointer with something a bit larger so it is more visible.

Great ad-free app

This application is run full-screen to prevent accidental exits. You can switch between 4 and 24 cards to match, and the sound effects adequately reward players as they accomplish each match.

I would like to request a custom cursor: it currently uses the Mac cursor, which is a bit small and doesn't match the style of the rest of the game.

Very good for young players (and is essentially keyboard-safe as only Cmd-H and Cmd-Q are allowed, all other inputs are ignored)!

Great app - but needs one small fix

This is a great app for teaching ESL. It's great practice for animal and associated baby names. The only problem I encounter is when a match is made, a horn sound is played at the same time as the name of the card. This makes it really hard to understand the name, and I don't think the match sound is at all necessary.
