While there is a way to import a photo of your child & place them in a spacesuit or indian outfit, etc and there is a way to animate that outfit, there is no way to animate your childs picture that appears within that outfit. So, you can "fly" the spacesuit around but you cannot "fly" your childs picture that is placed with in it along with the outfit. Also, there is no way to send a layer to the back or to the front so your child has to know what they want before they start laying up their picture.
There is also no tutorials and no way to contact the company with any questions like this you may have. So far, we don't find it is worth the hefty price tag. Yes, it has the potential to do good things there are too many of these small details that frustrate a creative child enough to give up on their project.

Doesn’t work with MacOS updates

I had this working great a year or so ago, but it completely stopped working after a software update. I had to track down the Windows version and use it on PC instead, and haven’t had any issues with updates making the PC version of Kid Pix break. So I guess if you have the option, don’t get the Mac version because it most likely won’t work if you update your computer ever.

As far as Kid Pix itself goes, it’s so fun! I wish they’d make a new one with all the crazy technology we have nowadays, like Photoshop but kid-friendly, cuz I’m not very tech savy but love making art with Kid Pix haha.

Had problems with upgrading from trial version

I had the trial version, and liked it enough to get the full version. When I bought it from the app store, and tried to launch it, it still says my trial version has expired, and I have to buy it again from their online store. Don't buy it until they've got this sorted out.

Edit: After contacting customer service, they recommended uninstalling, restarting my computer, then reinstalling from the app store. This worked out well, so this is no longer a problem!
