App Description

Gauguin: Maker of Myth
Tate Modern

Explore the fascinating life and work of Paul Gauguin in this multimedia app from Tate Modern.
Gauguin: Maker of Myth includes comprehensive information on over twenty iconic artworks as well as a gallery of beautiful images by the artist to keep and refer to as you like. You can look at many artworks in detail by using the zoom feature. Listen to Tate curators sharing their expert views on his work, hear from the artist in his own words, watch film clips, and explore an interactive map about Gauguin’s life and global travels.

This app was created on the occasion of the 2010 retrospective exhibition at Tate Modern – Gauguin: Maker of Myth. All artworks featured are shown in the exhibition but you don’t have to come to Tate Modern to enjoy the experience. If you visit, you can use the app as a gallery guide and later as a memento. If you can’t visit, use the app as your own personal exhibition of Gauguin’s work, to explore again and again.

Gauguin: Maker of Myth
The exhibition is at Tate Modern from 30 September 2010 – 16 January 2011

The app was produced by Antenna Audio and Tate.
