App needs work :)
Love this station and use the app a lot. But… too much button pressing. When you first open you are presented with some choice which is great but prob most ppl just want to listen. To listen you press bottom left then to start the stream you press center left and the play/pause button jumps back down to bottom left. If you pause it, the play button then goes hiding out of sight and to get it to start playing again you have to press once where the button is hiding for it to show itself and again to resume playing.
Suggestion: when you open the app just have one big button for play/pause in the middle of the screen. So you open the app and just press one obvious button to have you off and running.
You can put all the other choices around the edges of the screen. The other thing is the app almost never recovers when my phone switches signal strength like flipping from 5G to LTE and back I will usually have to open the phone and hit play/pause a couple times. The problem is persistent because I’m mostly using the app when I’m riding or driving so yer gonna be pinging different towers. This problem has me using third party apps to listen but they have their own issues.
Anyway keep up the good work, listening to you guys on a dedicated app is def what I prefer.
iPhone 15 plus running 17.1.1
Good Stuff
I liked the app. I do not live in the LA area but I love listening to Alma de Barrio on the weekends. Now I can enjoy it anywhere. I did lose my live stream once but other than that I am pleased with it.
App needs serious work
Favorite button does nothing, can’t view what song is currently playing, useless screens when going to live station. The only thing it does is let’s me listen to this great station, unfortunately most of the songs will disappear forever because I won’t know what they are.
At least copy KCRW’s app. They’re right next to you.
