Great deal for what you get

This is a great series of games that rewards long-time players with fleshed out characters that build from previous entries without requiring you to play them. The cost is low; you need only pay a minimal fee for the bonus chapter unless you want to buy hints. This one didn't require as much back-tracking as the time travel mechanism left you with only a few places you could visit at a time. That made it easier to keep track of what you need to do which may or may not be a good thing. Either way, I'm enjoying the game and will continue with the later ones when I'm done.

Better than LL5

I left a critical review of Lost Lands 5 taking exception to the need to buy “coins” to learn where actions are available. In the end, including the bonus chapter price, I spent more than the full game price. And the “Full” prepaid game is not available in the Mac App Store, so that was not an option.

I am pleased to say that I made it all the way through this game, Lost Lands 6, and the bonus chapter without needing a single hint or skip. So the whole thing only cost me $2. That’s a bargain. All the puzzles are new. None of the usual types you find in these games. There is a price to pay for being able to play the game without a map, though. I loved roaming far and wide in the first 4 Lost Lands. In this game, you only work in 3 or 4 locations at a time. Also, the story is quite different from the others. There is no enemy to fight in this game. Well, there are giant spiders, but they aren’t really the enemy. One of the series’ regulars becomes the enemy and Susan has to change them back. It’s a courageous break from the genre, but it may not feel like the same Lost Lands to some players.

Love the Series

My daughter and I play these together, this one is a little mature (12 probably) but the others are great! We are having so much fun.
