We initially started our venture, with thought of providing the best quality of seafood possible, preservatives free, to homes across Delhi NCR, in 2018
The seafood available across the city, unfortunately was not upto the Global mark,in quality. A little bit of Google digging proved our worst fears true !! Due to the combination of rampant corruption and heavy adulteration in our Food products, the traders at the ports, get away with lacing most of the Seafood headed to inland cities such as Delhi, with chemicals such as Formalin. This coupled with the unhygienic and questionable handling processes, straight from the port, to the mandis , to the destination city and then by the vendors themselves in these cities, only reinforced our mission of bringing only top quality, hygienically packed Seafood to homes across the city.
Our Seafood produce, is caught, cleaned, blast frozen and then packed straight at the ports, thus reducing any contact with air, decreasing the chances of any decay or Bacterial growth. We follow Globally acknowledged safest method(IQF), of storing and transporting food, to blast freeze our produce, using state of the art machinery. We are doing this in our facilities in Port Blair (Andamans) and Chennai. The thin sheen of ice, that is produced when we drop the temperature, of the produce to -40C, is what, not only helps in the protection and conservation of the product, but also locks in all the nutrients and the freshness, ensuring a top quality Seafood experience, thousands of Kms away from the oceans.
Having successfully run this venture, with the help of our small but loyal group of customers, who understood our produce and vision, we are now transitioning!! Having navigated through the turbulent waters, of the lockdown in 2020, we also understood that the consumer needs a trusted source for not just the Seafood, but also for all other meats. Going forward with our vision of sourcing only the best produce and not compromising on quality, we have now entered into collaboration to bring to our consumers, hormone, preservatives and antibiotics free poultry, mutton and pork! They are 100% halal and chemical free. We make sure that the meats are sourced from farms which raise their livestock in natural, regularised, hygienic and free-range conditions. We have a no-nonsense policy against bad meats on our platform. The meat is slaughtered and packed the same day and sent for delivery in order to make sure that only the tenderest of meats reaches the customer’s table. Safety is another big concern of ours and we ensure that all our products are cut and processed according to the food safety norms and guidance.
