Description

Trippy Ride is a Simple Bike Computer with Map.

Trippy Ride shows:
1. Your current speed
2. The time of day
3. Distance (when stopwatch is running)
4. Timer (when stopwatch is running)
5. A map (standard, satellite or your own map)

To use your own map, Trippy Ride supports KMZ format maps with overlay images.
Simply copy the KMZ map file to Trippy Ride.
KMZ is a standard format, and you can also generate your own KMZ Map Files from a map image using my Map Snapper (iOS) and KMZ Map Snapper (macOS) Apps, which are available on the App Store.

Note: Trippy Ride only supports KMZ files that include overlay images.

When you lock the map, it follows your current location on the map as you move.
You can choose how you want the map oriented in Settings->Trippy Ride:
1. Imported map always upright
2. North always upright
3. User set by rotating the map manually
4. Face the current direction (which will turn the map as you turn).

While you are riding, you probably do not want your device to go to sleep.
By default, Trippy Ride disables the auto-lock on your device.
This behaviour is customisable in Settings->Trippy Ride.

Note: Trippy Ride uses GPS while it is running to access your current location in order to show where you are one the map. This means it can increase your battery usage.
Trippy Ride does not use GPS when it is in the background.
Distance is only measured while the App is open.

Trippy Ride works with iPhone 5s or later, so that you can use Trippy Ride on an older iPhone, and save the battery (and screen) of your latest iPhone, tucked away safely somewhere.
