App cannot access the Photos library!

This app seemed to be exactly what I needed -- until I installed it. I installed Photo Exifer 3 (version 3.3.0) and it immediately gave me an error saying that Full Disk Access was required when I selected the Photo library on my iMac (Big Sur 11.5.1). But adding Photo Exifer to the Full Disk Access list did not make any difference -- even after restarting the system. I tried this many times. The developer's support team said that it is a probably a macOS bug. After wasting many hours on this problem and getting the brush-off from the developer, I am moving on to something else and requesting a refund from Apple.

Developer Response ,

Please remove Photo Exifer from the Full Disk Access list, and add it again, it will work.
It seems that full disk access temporarily does not work for some reason, and we have received several similar feedbacks from our customers before. After they restarted the Mac a few times, it suddenly worked again. It seems that it’s a macOS bug.

If it still can’t work, please copy the Photo library(~/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary) to another place, such as Desktop, Documents.
And then run Photo Exifer, go to File Menu -> Open Photo Library… to scan and edit the metadata in Photo Library, after you make some changes in Photo Library, you can replace the old Photo Library with the changed Photo Library.

And we do not have the authority to process a refund for you, you need to initiate a refund request to the AppStore.

Warning on dragging library

Been searching for a program to move the file name to title so Photos will sort. Worked great when did the first album. To save time I just dragged the next album in rather than opening from the menu. All the photos were there, but the file name was now the unique long alpha numeric that apple gives photos internally. Didn't realize until an entire album was renamed with gibberish. Should be fixed so that dragging or opening from menu works the same.

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your feedback.
