Train Valley 2 4+

This is primarily a puzzle game using a simplified version of a train network simulation. I agree with an earlier review that if you are looking for a replacement for Railroad Tycoon you will be disappointed;try Transport Fever instead. This game is closer to Tiny Trains but with smaller maps and short chapters. I like Train Valley 2.

I've really enoyed this game. It's all about connecting various resources with train tracks while ensuring you can earn enough money to connect to all buildings. The game starts out simple enough but about 15 levels in things start to get really tricky. I'm getting towards the end now, but it's next to impossible to win one of these levels on the first go. It's going to take a lot of planning to get 3-5 stars.

My one complaint is how difficult it is to predict how tracks can run over the various terrain types. Also once you lay a track in build mode (even on pause), you can't get rid of it without losing half the purchase value. This adds more headache than fun, and is a real detriment to the game.

Ultimately, still a really fun puzzler!

Challenging puzzles and a delightful visual appeal. Hope to see a Train Valley 3 - BUT ....

Why doesn't this game load directly rather than loading to a developer frontend that requires a second selection that is B.U.G.G.Y !!!

Most of the time, the game will not respond on first launch and even multiple subsequent launches - really irritating. And there is no good reason for this other then the developers forced advertising it's other content even though the user has PAID (!) for the game.

If you are irritated by this knid of self-serving and needless offer, don't bother buying.
