Description

Anki Notes is a memory app that makes learning easy. Based on Forgetting Curve, using the SM2 algorithm to repeatedly remind you to review. The goal is to help you remember anything you don't want to forget, such as learning a language or preparing for medical and legal exams, and even your whimsy that you don't want to be obscured by time.

You can set questions for card front, then recall the answer according to the question.

Your data will be backed up automatically to your iCloud account. That means all your stuff — flashcards, tags, preferences, and more — is safe, up to date, and available on all your devices.

You can share notes with other users and invite them to contribute to your notes.

Some of Anki Notes' features include:

· Backed up by iCloud automatically
· Sync between multiple devices
· Advanced spaced repetition algorithm (SRS), built with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
· Able to import data from Anki files (*.apkg, *colpkg, *zip)
· Support for organizing notes by tags
· Support for adding images, videos, audio, tables, checklists
· Support for inserting, editing, and viewing mathematical equations and formulas.
· Support for Speech Synthesis, and listening to your notes in the background.
· Support for marking up images.
· Support for setting font size of the text to make it catch the eye of the reader.
· Support for different font families to help differentiate between sections of the content that serve various purposes (e.g. main text and a side quotation or a recap).
· Support for both markers (background color) and pens (text color) to make the text stand out even more and draw attention.
· Support for advanced text styling features such as subscript, superscript, link and code.
· You can embed online video and audio players within notes.
· The Code Block feature which allows inserting and embedding syntax color highlighted code snippets into the editor.
· Support for finding and replacing any text in the editor easily.
· Handy keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow
· Support for Dynamic Type

A few improvements would be perfect

i reall like it, i just want there to be a way to create different decks to study from instead of all cards mixed together. i would like to group them into categories to study. it would be great if you could choose to study fom one, a few, or all decks. Please make those improvements!

faults outweigh features

First of all, the real Anki app can only be downloaded online, so in case you're looking for that this isn't it. But that's not really what I'm upset about. What drives me insane at least 50x daily now is:
1. When typing, you can't quickly use the tab button on your keyboard. Instead, you have to click an indent button, and then when you're done you have to click the outdent(?) button.
2. Images CONSTANTLY disappear and turn into the little blue ? square. I've put countless hours into finding and inserting images, only to log in the next day and find that they're ALL missing.
3. Keyboard shortcuts don't apply for some reason. I do a ton of scientific writing, so subscripts and superscripts are really important to me. I have my computer set so that if I ^ or _ any characters it automatically corrects itself, but this app blocks that somehow, which is just another nuisance.
4. You can't separate your cards into categories, or 'tags' unless you pay for the $6 premium feature. Since name-brand Anki allows categorization now, this upgrade shouldn't even be necessary anymore.

I'm about 2 weeks into using the app and I spent $6 to be able to tag images, so I don't really have the time or patience to start over somewhere else right now, but I'm really not thrilled. I see past reviews outlining issues that the developers have fixed, so I can only hope that these issues will be resolved quickly.

Knockoff App with bugs & Missing Features

This is a Chinese imitation version of Anki that has nothing to do with the original Anki.

"Anki Notes" has a lot of bugs. The second I needed a separate topic to study, the lack of a deck feature is really glaring. The only good thing it has going for it is the repetition & timing feature, otherwise the UI is a mess.

Bugs:
* I got prompted every other flashcard to write a review. I really really hope this is a bug and not a feature.
* Shortcuts don't work for me (e.g. 1,2,3,4 to make a selection)
* The 'Help > Show Keyboard Shortcuts' button doesn't work, and searching for shortcuts in Help doesn't do anything.
* You can't delete tags.

If you're dealing with a small dataset its a pretty straightforward, easy to use app that does a good job determining what cards to review and when. That said the free Anki app from the actual Anki creator is going to be a better option.

I'd advise using this if:
1. You have a small amount of cards to study in only one topic
2. You absolutely need to use this across different Apple devices.
3. You have a lot of patience
4. Shortcuts don't matter to you
