App Description

When a transfusion is given, it is preferable for patients to receive blood of the same ABO and RhD group. However, in an emergency or special circumstance, if the same blood group isn’t readily available, a patient may be given another group that their immune system will not react to.This application helps us to learn Blood group matching process.Usually it is a difficult for a layman to understand blood groups so he can just take help of this application and just a simple animation will enable him to understand the right blood for the patient's need. In Emergency cases we just need a simple reference to understand the donor blood group.
The donation process begins with a screening procedure to determine if the donor is healthy and has no conditions that would make his or her donation hazardous. Donors are asked about their general health, as well as their travel history and possible past exposure of blood-transmitted diseases, such as HIV, malaria, and hepatitis.
This application is education tool for the students and also helps patients to determine their need.In many cases we usually have a confusion so this app helps to clarify all the blood group clarification for donor and recepient.
A and B are different antigens on the surface of the red cells. O cells do not have either antigen. The type of antigen on your red cells is genetically determined. If you have the A antigen, you have Group A red cells. It is also possible to have both A and B antigens meaning your blood group is AB.
