Glyph - Emoji Search 4+

So useful and easy to use!

I love that I can use this emoji search app while I’m sending messages since it is accessible in the app bar above my keyboard! It’s super quick and easy to search for what I need!
I hate how far I have to scroll to find emojis and I just can’t remember where they all are, especially if I don’t use them as often, so this app is really useful!
I also really enjoy being able to see all the different emojis available and I’ve discovered a few new favorites since it shows me all the different kinds when I search a keyword. It’s also nice that I don’t have to finish typing the entire word before it starts narrowing down my search!
I also love the simple and clean design! When apps are too cluttered and have ads I don’t enjoy using them, I don’t have to worry about that with this app which is awesome!

I liked the emoji search in Google Keyboard but didn’t like the keyboard itself, and this app lets me quickly switch between the default iOS keyboard and emojis without extra taps. The keywords are mostly the same so it was an easy transition. Hope the dev gets enough support to maintain the app for years to come.

This is mostly great—it just doesn’t let you select skin tones

This emoji-search keyboard works fantastically much of the time, and you may as well give it a shot.

Earlier versions of this app used to have the shortcoming of being unusable when iOS’s dark mode was on—but due credit to the app’s author as this has been fixed in recent versions and this keyboard now works perfectly well in dark mode!

At this point, one of my only remaining quibbles is that this keyboard doesn’t seem to let you choose skin tones for emoji. For instance, suppose that you had wanted to add the metal-horns hand sign to a text message, but you specifically wanted “🤘🏾” or “🤘🏼” (rather than just “🤘”). With this keyboard, that doesn’t seem to be possible (as far as I can tell).

It would be great if this keyboard were to let you long-press on an emoji to get a pop-up with skin-tone choices (like with iOS’s native emoji keyboard). Or it’d be icing on the cake if this keyboard were to let you define a default skin tone to use (while still letting you override a given emoji’s skin tone by long-pressing on it).

Overall, this is a pretty solid emoji-finder keyboard!

Thanks for the great feedback! I was able to get a solution put together over the weekend to allow skin tone selection on the keyboard. Make sure you’ve updated to version 1.1.4 and let me know what you think.
