From a well-estabilished catering background in the North West of England in the 50’s and 60’s Ray Allen introduced Kentucky Fried Chicken to the U.K. Securing the famous American fast food rights, for the Colonel’s Secret Recipe fried chicken in the U.K Ray opened the first Kentucky Fried Chicken store in Fishergate, Preston in 1964 - still Successfully trading today.
Popularising the new take-away food concept, Company stores were opened and Franchised, throughout the U.K, untill the mind 1970’s. By then more than 250 KFC stores were successfully operating with the Colonel’s image and a name firmly established as a premier fast food chain.
Now, following this tradition , Allen’s brings you their very own secret recipe fried chicken for you to enjoy. A taste to rival. “The colonel’s” own!- Wherever you see the Allen’s wishbone.
