Will not load text via clipboard nor open RTF files
I attempted to use this to check word count and word usage in a test. I tried pasting the text in from the clipboard, and the app crashed. I converted the Pages file to an RTF file and attempted to open it. The app crashed again. I tried manually selecting about half of the text, and Universal Word Counter was able to open it. However, the statistics could not be displayed properly; they were cut off at the right side. Why even have a “Longest sentence” field if it can only display the first few words of that sentence? Resizing the window did not show more info, not did double-clicking any field. I selected the second half of the text and attempted to paste it into the app. The app crashed. It is not fit for its intended purpose. Refund requested.
