The best of what I could find in a half hour.
This is the best of the general-purpose mirror apps that I could find in a half an hour of searching. I paid for it because it is cheap, and has a UI that isn’t gregarious or ostentatious.
One thing I’d like is to be able to “pan” within a zoomed view. Because all these “zoomed” views are just magnifications of the image yielded by the self-facing camera, there’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to choose a different part of the original image to “magnify.” I’d pay another dollar for this ability.
For example: I should be able to “scroll” the zoomed image with my finger to point my phone further up than directly at the center of my nose, and yet be able to scroll the image to see my nose.
If the creator adds a Control Center feature to activate the mirror from the ... Control Center, I’d pay another dollar.
Tried them all
I downloaded and compared 4 different mirror apps and this one had the best clarity and options for me. I wasn’t impressed with any of the mirror apps until I landed on this one. I think I’m going to love it😌
Decent backup travel mirror
I downloaded this app because i forgot my travel makeup mirror when i went on vacation. I had to share a bathroom with my family so doing my makeup in the bathroom wasn’t ideal. I have the iphone xr which usually has a great camera except in this app the camera didn’t work as well. It was hard to see my face close up because the ‘reflection’ was fuzzy. I’d only use this app again if I was desperate.
One of the good things about the app though is that there are no ads if you submit a 5 star rating, unlike other mirror apps.
