Notesey: menu bar sticky notes 4+

I really love the convenience and simplicity of this app, but after using it for a couple of years I am still stepping on two unfortunate UI landmines.

1. If you create a new note and don't save it immediately, clicking on any other saved note will simply discard the note you had started. No warning either, just “poof” - gone.
I have tried to get into the habit of saving a new note as soon as I create it, but this still catches me out on occasion.
I would much prefer any new note created is automatically saved if content has been added.

2. When you create a new note, the button to save the note is a check mark in the middle of the note header. When you open an existing note, the button to delete an existing note is a minus symbol (-) in the middle of the note header. Thus, depending on whether you have just created a new note or are editing an existing one, the button in the center of the note header changes. I'm sure you see where this is going...
Having the save and delete buttons in the exact same location, with a minor visual change, is a bit goofy. I still accidentally hit the delete button on occasion, absentmindedly thinking it was a new note I had to save.
Not a huge deal as deleted notes are easy to recover. It just strains my "This is too goofy" tolerance threshold.

These odd UI quirks had me on the edge of abandoning the app, but the convenience and simplicity still outweigh these issues.

Worth the $3. The design is simple and thoughtful.

It's a simple program, but that's what i bought it for. I wanted somthting simple. Little notes at the top of the screen where you can add reminders, days lists, etc.. You can change color, size, shape and font size. Not necessarily a whole lot more. But for what it is, it's great.
