The 23rd Nordic Congress of Gerontology (23NKG)

Nordic Congress of Gerontology is one of the most important multidisciplinary meetings on ageing In Europe. Every two years it brings together researchers and professionals interested in ageing and working in the social sciences, health research, medicine, nursing, biology, humanities, services research or any other field of scientific inquiry.
The programme of the 23rd Nordic Congress of Gerontology (23NKG) includes 53 submitted symposia, 65 oral presentations and 250 posters.
The ageing society urgently needs scientific knowledge to reach the full potential of longer lives. Better ageing means better societies for all. Therefore, the theme of the congress is "Good ageing – a better society." The Nordic congresses traditionally emphasises multidisciplinary perspectives on ageing and the life course. We hope that experts from different core disciplines can meet and learn from each other.
The exhibition will also take place during the congress and there you will get more information about products and services of elderly care.
The congress is held in Tampere, Finland, which is a lively university city that occupies a beautiful position between two major lakes. It is the perfect location to enjoy the light Midsummer nights. We hope that the 23NKG will be "Science and fun under the midnight sun".
