Nature Detectives Family Trail brings fairies to life in selected Woodland Trust woods.

Join us for the Nature Detectives Family Trail and help Blue and Belle, the woodland fairies, save the bluebell woods from Foot the giant. Complete the trail and you could win a Nature Detectives activity pack.

This Nature Detectives Family Trail app accompanies the augmented reality trail set out in Woodland Trust woods across the UK. Our trails are only available in specific woods and for a limited time – see below for more details of where the trails will be and make sure there’s one near you before heading out to help Blue and Belle!

How to use this app
To use augmented reality and be able to see Blue and Belle your device will need to have a camera and gyroscope.

Turn up the volume and brightness on your device.

• Follow the trail markers around the woods.
• When you reach the first marker launch the app.
• Press the ‘start trail’ button and point the camera of your device at the tracker image, filling your screen with the image.
• Wait for it to scan and then watch Blue and Belle appear.
• Once you’ve finished at each marker, turn off your screen to save battery as you walk to the next one.
