“Electric City” is a new animated web miniseries from movie star Tom Hanks and Yahoo! Screen. In addition to the cartoon collaboration, the project seeks to expand into other digital media like comics and, of course, video games. Jump Games is bringing “Electric City” to iOS devices with their new role-playing game Electric City The Revolt.

“Electric City” is named after and set in a post-apocalyptic future society where all of the world’s power and information is controlled by a group called Wire Central. As Frank Deetleman, players will join the rebellion and fight for freedom by exploring the city’s various precincts, completing missions, and solving puzzles all while avoiding the AMPs or Allied Municipal Patrol. Players can also compete in various mini-games and compare scores with friends.

The game and its characters will also tie in with the main, 90-minute episodic series currently airing here on Yahoo! Screen. Electric City The Revolt is available now for $0.99 on the App Store.
