Zap! Pow! Become a Badass Wizard in Phantom Rift this September

Posted by Jessica Fisher on July 30th, 2014

Phantom Rift by Foursaken Media, is an adventure/RPG where players control a powerful wizard who has become lost in the Phantom Rift: a dark place full of man-eating monsters. Wizards will be tasked with side quests as they explore the world and meet NPCs.

A player's wizard is fully customizable with a full array of equipment. The five levels of rarity with passive abilities and different stats mean plenty of different combinations for collectors.

The innovation of Phantom Rift is its battle system. Similar to a card-based battle, players have a spell pouch that can hold up to 30 of the 120 unique spells that can be found in the game. Players can equip their wizard with different spells to form different strategies, focusing on things like elemental magic or summoning.

The game also has multiplayer integration. Wizards can fight in PvP battles and win spells from their enemies' pouch as trophies.

Foursaken Media is shooting for a September release for Phantom Rift.

While the visuals may pop and the urge to collect all the various monsters on display may be tempting, Mutants: Genetic Gladiators is too weak of a fighter to go the distance in this arena.

Gameloft's Order and Chaos Online Update - Goes PvP, Adds Mounts, Kills Subscriptions

Posted by Rob LeFebvre on August 9th, 2012
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Our rating: starstarstarstarblankstar :: MASSIVE :: Read Review »

Fans of Gameloft's ambitious mobile MMO, Order & Chaos Online, have more reason to celebrate. The game will be getting a massive update later in August. The game will include new features that fans have been asking for, including mounts, a brand new dungeon to explore, player vs player (PvP) combat arenas, and and end to the subscription model.

The new dungeon will be called Salien Pt. 2. The original Salien dungeon was added in update 1.10 in March of this year, 2012. There will be three new arenas for player versus player combat, in combinations of 1 on 1, 2v2, 3v2, or 4v4 players. There will be four new mounts to tear around on through the Arcadian Forests or the Tanned Land.

What's most interesting, however, is the end of the subscription model. PC and console-based MMO games are suffering huge losses in player subscriptions lately; it makes sense that a mobile game like Order & Chaos would struggle with adding and maintaining an active, paying subscriber base as well. With mobile gaming exploring the free to play model more vigorously than the traditional PC and console gaming space, it's surprising that Order & Chaos Online lasted as long as it has.

Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.

Posted by Jason Wadsworth on February 24th, 2012

WonderCraft is a new iOS game coming soon in which players can lead large naval fleets into battle against other players or with other players against CPU controlled enemy fleets. In this game, players will be able to customize their futuristic fleets down to the types of boats that make up their flotilla and the types of weapons each boat wields.

The game controls with a simple touch control where players will touch enemy boats on the screen to direct their boats' weapons. Sometimes players will be fighting each other for victory, and other times CPU controlled boats will attack during PvP play and the players will have to fend of these attacks as well.
