Dragalia Lost Daily Tasks Guide

Posted by Campbell Bird on October 16th, 2018

Part of what makes gacha games compelling (and sometimes annoying) is their grind. You’re always supposed to be advancing something in these games, meaning you need to be checking in on your progress once or multiple times a day to make sure you’re progressing at an optimal pace.

Something nice about Dragalia Lost is that its daily grind is relatively light compared to similar games. This is to say the specific objectives given to you every day aren’t something that takes a huge time investment. That said though, there’s quite a few tasks you should be doing every day to advance your progress, even though they aren’t daily quests. See below:

Can Mario Kart Tour save Nintendo's mobile gaming business?

Posted by Harry Slater on May 28th, 2018

Mario Kart Tour logo

We're pretty much at the midpoint of the year now, which makes it around six months since we pondered what the future might hold for Nintendo's advances into mobile. And so far in 2018 the resounding answer has been - not much at all, really.

There's been a couple of game announcements, but the whole Nintendo-takes-over-mobile story really hasn't played out. In fact there have been rumblings behind the scenes that the big N is still struggling to find a way to successfully monetize its mobile-gaming output. So if things were looking bleak at the start of the year, it's fair to say they're not looking much rosier now.

Will we ever see something like the Nintendo Labo for mobile?

Posted by Harry Slater on April 18th, 2018

You've probably read a lot over the past few days, or at least you probably have if you've got any interest in video games outside of the mobile sphere, about Nintendo Labo. People have been getting their hands on the new tech, and the general consensus is that it's looking like it might be pretty special.

Which got me thinking - is this the sort of thing we're likely to see coming to mobile any time soon? And if we are, what form is it likely to take? These questions and more are all going to get answered in the next few paragraphs, so let's put on our thinking caps and see where they take us.

Mario Kart is coming to mobile. Is it time to get excited or are you ready to chuck some blue shells?

Luigi death stare Mario Kart

This one is definitely an example of getting the hype train (or kart, I guess) started early. Nintendo has revealed that it's developing a Mario Kart game for mobile. It's called Mario Kart Tour, and it was announced yesterday over on Nintendo's Twitter.

Now, we've already had our say about what Nintendo has to do if it wants to remain relevant in the mobile sphere, and you can check that out by clicking here. But here's the kicker, we've got a long wait ahead of us for Mario Kart Tour.

Why Nintendo needs to sharpen up its act if it's going to succeed in 2018

Posted by Harry Slater on January 8th, 2018

Let's not thwack around the undergrowth here, Nintendo has done alright when it comes to mobile games. Super Mario Run is probably one of the best auto-runners on the App Store, and you can see why by clicking here for our review. And Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and Fire Emblem Heroes are both solid experiences.

Now re-read that first paragraph. I just described two Nintendo games as “solid experiences”. That's not something that usually happens with the big N's output. Sure it might not throw out games left right and centre, but the ones that do come out are almost always top of their class.
