Disrupting the Nebula is the huge new update for FISHLABS' Galaxy on Fire - Alliances. The update has a ton of new features such as the new tactical sector grid, which segments the game world and gives you info on hot spots on the star map.

Battles have been upgraded so that they now come in multiple waves. You'll have breaks between the differnt rounds to send reinforcements or order your fleets to retreat. And if you're looking for an edge in battle you can now rely on your spy drones to collect info - not just on planets, but also on enemy fleets.

The game also has a bunch of new social functions that will make it easier to invite friends, a global in-game chat, and push notifications to quickly call for allies.

And to celebrate this big update, FISHLABS has even opened a new server for the game. So if you want to try out all the new features, you can download Galaxy on Fire - Alliances for free now.

Gameloft has announced that their mobile MMORPG Order & Chaos Online has become completely free to download and play - permanently.

When the game launched back in 2011 it cost $8.99 and required a subscription to play, but since then the subscription model has been killed off and now the cost to get the game at all has been removed as well.

Alongside this announcement, the game has received yet another update that adds a new PvP Battlefield with 2v2 and 4v4 capture the flag and challenge modes. PvP leagues are also new to the game, allowing players to join leagues and battle to top both their league and compete against other leagues. New events have been added as well to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the game launching: Haradon Day and the annual Magpie Festival

Order & Chaos Online is available to download now for free.

Rebuild the World in Steel Avengers

Posted by Jennifer Allen on June 24th, 2014

Set for release next month is MMO Steel Avengers, a build-and-conquer strategy game.

A natural disaster has befallen a not too distant future Earth, which means anarchy has broken out. With a battle for survival afoot, it's down to individuals to attempt to create a new world, which is exactly where the game is focused. Players will be able to build powerful armies, establish a base, research new things, as well as gather resources. After all, resource gathering leads to all the good stuff!

The game also promises an extensive PvP side of things, with alliances also possible for the more peaceful of gamers.

Steel Avengers features 11 different buildings, 29 different technologies, and a fully fledged PvE story comprising of 11 chapters and 176 combat zones.

It's due out in mid-July, a mere month away, assuming a natural disaster doesn't actually befall us before that time!

Habbo Brings its Teen Social Networking World to the iPad

Oh wow, Habbo takes me back. I remember messing around with it back when Runescape was still on my radar. In fact, Habbo (then known as Habbo Hotel) has actually been around longer than Runescape. Yeesh I feel old.

And now it's available for the iPad.

What is Habbo? It's essentially a pixelated virtual world/hangout/social network for teenagers. Users can explore various rooms, customize their avatar with lots of accessories and effects, take part in daily events, and more. But don't worry, parents, it's also got live moderators who are available 24/7.

You can now download Habbo for your iPad for free.

Warner Bros. Releases MMO Game LEGO Legends of CHIMA Online

Posted by Tre Lawrence on March 3rd, 2014
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Warner Bros has just released LEGO Legends of CHIMA Online, which, as the name hints at, is an online multiplayer adventure with solo play options.

The game is based on the LEGO CHIMA universe, where animals take on human characteristics and the eight animal tribes fight to control CHI. Folks familiar with the toys and/or cartoon will find many familiar elements. It allows the player to select from one of four tribes, and to customize a warrior to battle the other four tribes; it also allows one to create weapons and outposts, and to perform trades and alliances with other online players. There is also the ability to pick up a paused or interrupted game from other online portals.

LEGO Legends of CHIMA Online is available for free on the App Store.

Legacy of a Thousand Suns - 5th Planet Games Embraces Cross-Platform Play, With a Slight Catch

Posted by Rob Rich on December 11th, 2013
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Today 5th Planet Games is taking down their rather cool iOS MMO, Legacy of a Thousand Suns, and replacing it with... Legacy of a Thousand Suns??

Indeed, the developer is pushing out the old version of their game for a new one (an entirely new download, not an update) that supports cross-platform play. So now users will be able to enjoy their space adventures at home on Facebook or on the go through their iPhone! The catch is that player data from the original iOS version will, regrettably, be lost in the transition. It's an unfortunate problem, but 5th Planet hopes to lessen the sting a bit by offering a special Starter Pack - which includes a fair amount of new gear and consumables - to all players who install the game within the first 30 days.

The Realm of Shadows Lurks Just Beneath the Surface of Arcane Legends

Our rating: starstarstarstarhalfstar :: BRIGHTER :: Read Review »

Spacetime Studios' popular MMO Arcane Legends (although really, all their MMOs are popular) is getting an update. And not just any update; a mysterious, shadowy update.

The new Realm of Shadows content is going to "introduce players to, and have them save, the sorcerer’s homeland." Sounds intriguing, right? Well what about new enemies and bosses? New loot, pets, and gear? New quests? Nah, I bet what you'll really be excited about is the level cap increase that takes each characters' max level from 31 to 36.

If the Realm of Shadows sounds like your kind of place, then either download Arcane Legends and check it out or update it if you've already got it on your iOS device. Simple as that!
