The holiday season may be drawing to a close, but there's still plenty to celebrate. You'll find many popular games at incredible discounts on the App Store right now. We've gone and rounded up the best deals on iOS games this week.

August was jam-packed with quality games. Some of them we were eagerly expecting, while others crept in and took us completely by surprise. Card games, RPGs, top-down racers, there was a lot of creative stuff happening, and it was a real delight.

Now, it's time to look back on August fondly, remembering our highest rated games of the month. We've got eight in all! Let's get to it.

Battlejack is the next big card game to hit the mobile scene, and we have to say, it's a blast. It's blackjack with an RPG twist. Play cards to cast spells and summon monsters to help you in your quest, but if you go over 21 you're out of luck. It combines strategy and lucky into one neat little package.

Miracle Merchant is the latest card game by Tiny Touch Tales taking the internet by storm at the moment, and it's easy to see why. Miracle Merchant is immensely charming with its colorful, hand drawn artwork. And the gameplay, too, is definitely something special.

This clever new game sees players concocting potions in a fantasy shop in a fresh new take on Solitaire. The game requires a certain level of strategy, though, and that's where we come in. Here are some beginner's tips to help you set up shop.

It's been quite a busy week, with a true bounty of fresh new games jumping onto the App Store. We got the chance to try a wide variety of new mobile titles across a range of genres.

Miracle Merchant, the charming fantasy card game by Tiny Touch Tales, is arriving next week. The development team, which also brought you Card Crawl and Card Thief, announced the game's launch with a pleasant little trailer that showcases the game's quirky hand-drawn artwork. Eye-candy aside, we get a quick look at the sheer variety of potions you'll be able to make by mixing and matching cards.

Miracle Merchant is a Solitaire-esque game at its core, requiring you to match the proper ingredients to mix up potions for your devoted patrons. If Tiny Touch Tales' past games are anything to go by, they've mastered the card genre and made it their trademark. We're excited to see how the team pairs Miracle Merchant's beautiful, fantastical world with their skill in card game design.
