Simple Meeting Arrangements With Friends Via Uberlife

Posted by Jennifer Allen on March 1st, 2012
iPhone App - Designed for iPhone, compatible with iPad

Hoping to take the social networking world by storm is new app Uberlife with the grand intention of taking out all the effort of arranging a meet up with friends.

The app hooks into either the user's Facebook or Twitter accounts and takes seconds to set up. Upon initial setup, it comes up with some suggestions of friends to invite and where to visit in the local area. Future "hangouts" can be just as easily created within a few taps of the screen, making it so simple to arrange somewhere to meet.

Further functionality comes in the form of being able to view map details for the area, being able to discuss any details about the visit via the app, and even add relevant images.

Essentially, it's like Facebook places but with extra ease and the ability to tap into Twitter friends. As it's free, it's an ideal companion for those who want to juggle plenty of meet ups with their friends.

eMeetMe Schedule Meetings Makes It Easy To Plan Gatherings

Posted by Jennifer Allen on September 22nd, 2011

Scheduling meetings should be simple and easy to do. All too frequently, it's not that simple with the problem of having to juggle the best times for everyone. eMeetMe Schedule Meetings will hopefully solve that problem.

It's an app that enables users to identify the best time and date for everyone invited meaning a much better chance of a full house when it comes to attendees. Synchronising with the iPhone calendar, the app makes meetings of all sorts, whether they be business or pleasure, much easier. Users simply choose some potential dates then choose from their contacts who they want to invite. An email wings its way to them and they simply tick the relevant boxes to state when they're able to make it and a reply is sent back to the meeting planner.

eMeetMe Schedule Meetings works out the best time for the meeting then a couple of taps and confirmation messages can be sent out to everyone who is attending. As simple as that and hopefully removing all the stress of planning!

Two versions of eMeetMe Schedule Meetings are available. The free/Lite version and a more comprehensive service that costs $0.99 and offers group creation options to make things even faster.

What Happens In Vegas...

Posted by Jeff Scott on January 5th, 2010

Gets reported on 148Apps!

One of the largest trade shows in the world takes place in Las Vegas this week. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a massive show with endless aisles of gadgets, gizmos, and hopefully iPhone Apps. While I don't know the exact number, I believe it will be attended by roughly 1.9 billion people. The size is so imense that it pretty much shuts down all forms of public transportation and makes it impossible to get a data connection on your iPhone.

But the reason for this post is that if you, an industry person, iPhone developer, accessory manufacturer, or booth babe are around and would like to talk to us or invite us to your party, please drop us a line at review {dot} monkey {at} 148apps.com and we'll try to set something up.

We'll do our best to report the coolest things we see. But without a data connection, that might be hard. Keep an eye on our Twitter stream for the updates.
