+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Previously only available for the iPad, TED is now available for iPhone and the iPod touch courtesy of this new official app.

TED, for those not already in the know, is a global collection of conferences that focus on new and innovative ideas.

The app allows users to browse and watch TEDTalks, videos ranging from 3 minutes to 18 minutes in length, offering a great bitesized explanation of some very cool ideas from speakers on everything possible from genetics and geopolitics to sculpture and creativity. It's a great way to learn about something new and get thinking.

The iPhone app has been tailored specifically to the mobile user's needs with the option to simply listen to TEDTalks rather than watch the videos. TED Radio also exists to stream curated audio 24/7, for whenever the user wants to check in.

Also new to the app is the Bookmarks feature, allowing users to flag and save talks they don't have time to watch/listen to just yet. It means it's easy to access again later and with no need to wait for the TEDTalk to download either.

All in all, TED is an interesting way of discovering new things at any time and anywhere.

It's out now.
