Read The Full Review » Grand Theft Auto Hijacks The App Store Next Week By Blake Grundman on December 6th, 2011 Tweet Ten years ago a little game by the name of Grand Theft Auto III took the world by storm and revolutionized the way that games were played. Along with causing a boatload of controversy, the title went on to birth a whole new genre of open world games. It only seems appropriate that a decade later Rockstar has decided that it was time to go back and give the game a proper anniversary re-release. Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition is set to land on the App Store next week, December 15th to be exact, for a mere $4.99. This is a huge deal for fans of the series, as well as for a whole new generation of iOS gamers that will be introduced to the franchise. It somewhat goes without saying, but it will be interesting to see if this is the kind of title that can stand the test of time. We look forward to taking it out for a “test drive” very soon.
