If you’ve played any of the Bloons TD games, you know how frantic–and downright fun–the tower defense with balloons and monkeys game can get. With the upcoming Bloons TD Battles, from the Ninja Kiwi/Digital Goldfish dream team, you’ll get to test your skills against real opponents on the same iPad or over the internet. Get ready, ’cause its gonna get insane.

I’ll never forget downloading Bloons for the first time on my iPhone. I had all sorts of expectations for the game, most of which stemmed from playing the flash game so much. You know, the flash game where you lined up different types of monkeys around a set path to destroy balloons. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in Bloons, because, well, it wasn’t the game that I wanted. I wanted Bloons Tower Defense, and I’ll be able to have it soon.

There really isn’t anything overly spectacular about the flash version, but it was always a whole lot of fun to play. Something about monkeys and darts really gets me going in the morning. Fortunately, the iPhone version of the game looks to have some nice updated graphics, a whole slew of new levels, and some great upgrades. Let’s hope it turns out as good as it looks. Enjoy the video!
