A 'Frozen' takeover event has arrived for Disney's Club Penguin - the first event to arrive for the mobile version of the social network for kids.

Players will start the party off by discovering all of Elsa's magic snowflakes hidden around the island. Once that has been done, members will earn the ability to transfer into Olaf or Marshmallow and freeze objects. All the while an Ice Palace will be constructed, and once complete players will be able to visit and hear a special version of "Let It Go." Alongside all of this, members will also be able to dress their character in Olaf, Sven, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff-themed outfits.

Club Penguin is available to download from the App Store now for free. The 'Frozen' event ends on September 3rd.

Disney has updated Club Penguin so users can now enjoy the features of the virtual world on their iPad. This allows users to hang out, chat, and party with other Club Penguin members in different rooms like the Town, Dance Club, Clothes Shop, and Coffee Shop. The update also allows users to watch videos and play new mini-games like Smoothie Blast and Pizzatron.

“With the launch of the virtual world experience on iPad, we bring with us nearly a decade of experience and investments in safe online play, as well as an audience of millions who have been asking us for a way to play on their mobile devices," said Chris Heatherly, head of Club Penguin, in a press release.
