Frogger Decades Leapfrogs Onto iOS Devices
As a gamer of 20 odd years, it excites me to see the release of a reimagining of a timeless classic. That's one of the reasons why my iPhone houses Arkanoid and Space Invaders: Infinity Gene - some titles just don't get old.
While Frogger is quite a classic, it has aged just a bit in recent years. So the prospect of it being revitalised is very cool indeed, which is fortunate as this is exactly what's happened with Frogger Decades.Graphics and animations have been brought up to date in time for Frogger's 30th birthday and there's even a hint of a storyline. Frogger comes back home to find a map to his birthday party pinned on his front door, and thus starts a wild and wacky adventure to make it to the party on time. Five different environments are available with the memorable frog having to jump, hop, swing and dodge his way around obstacles.
It's the same classic gameplay that made players fall in love with Frogger the first time, just spruced up with a modern paintbrush to enthral once more.
Frogger Decades is out now priced at $1.99. Oh and it's an universal app which will keep iPhone and iPad owners happy!
Harold and the Purple Crayon GiggleApps Review
Harold and the Purple Crayon is a wondrous and thoughtful adaptation of the classic 1955 children’s book of the same name that had been developed into an interactive storybook, now a universal application.
I remember Harold and the Purple Crayon from my childhood and have shared this story with my son as well. Few children’s books that I can think of beg to be
turned into an interactive storybook as much as this one does, and I have been eagerly waiting for this to be developed into a universal app, knowing that at some point this was bound to happen.I am very eager to introduce this app to readers who may not know of its existence. It is the perfect experience that I expected with every element thoughtfully conceived, making this book a joy to share with my son.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic, he can really move/Sonic, he's got an attitude/Sonic, he's... on my iPhone?
Not entirely out of left field, but entirely unpublicized, comes Sonic the Hedgehog to the iPhone. From the description of the game in the app store, the new app lets you "Relive your favorite memories of the Genesis era as you rocket Sonic through hair-raising loop-de-loops and dizzying dives as you gather up Rings and stop Dr. Eggman's schemes for world domination!"
Even though I have probably seen (and played) everything this game has to offer, I still want it... really, really badly. If all goes well with my espresso machine, I should have a review up by morning. Wish me luck!
Update: No more espresso!!! Nooooooo! We may have to wait till mid-afternoon.
