At long last, Watch OS 2 is finally here! I’m legitimately excited about the update [LINK], but in order for all us watch users to start seeing the benefits we have to instal it first. If you’ve never updated Watch OS before, or if you did once upon a time and have since forgotten how, we’ve got a quick little installation guide for you.

First off, you need to go through the Watch app on your iPhone. Open it up and then tap on General - you can find it at the bottom of the screen when you first open the app.

From inside the General menu you can open Software Update, which will be the second choice from the top.

Once the app has automatically verified your current Watch OS version it’ll give you the choice to start downloading Watch OS 2. Before you begin, be sure to follow the instructions at the bottom of the screen (you can find them if you scroll down a tiny bit).

• Place the Apple Watch on its charger
• Make sure the Apple Watch battery is showing at least 50%
• Keep your iPhone paired with your Apple Watch and connected to wifi - don’t wander too far with it or the connection will be broken and the installation will fail

At this point all you have to do is tap Download and wait for it to finish doing its thing. Just be aware that you’ll need to be patient. It’s going to take a while to download everything, verify the files, then actually install to the watch itself. The amount of time will vary a bit depending on your internet connection, but for me it ended up taking a couple hours.

So that Apple presentation, huh? If you missed it you can catch up on the official website, but the gist of it is lots of new hardware announcements, pricing, and release date information. There was also some stuff about Apple TV, and Tim Cook hugged One Republic.

But enough about that. Let’s talk about all the stuff Apple covered during today’s event.

It's been a while and quite a few versions since we reviewed ProCamera 8 + HDR (it was called ProCamera 7 back then), but it's changed quite a bit since then. And of course it's changing again thanks to its latest update.

One of the many surprisingly useful features of the Apple Watch is the way in which we can see, respond to, or ignore text messages without having to use an iPhone. Seeing and ignoring are pretty self-explanatory, but it’s possible to respond in one of three ways: dial-an-emoticon, pick from a list of prefab phrases, or use dictation to respond directly. Problem is, sometimes none of those options is exactly what you’ll need. That’s why it can be handy to have your own custom set of prefab responses ready to go.

As we're all aware, no tiny computer-like device is official until you can play Solitaire on it. So by unwritten law, the Apple Watch is now 100% official.

eBay has officially released the eBay app for the Apple Watch, so now your wrist can buy and sell on the go.

Yesterday’s WWDC was full of all sorts of interesting announcements for all sorts of Apple-related operating systems. A lot of really impressive stuff is in the works, but the most significant change for the Apple Watch has got to be allowing for native apps (i.e. apps that are installed directly on the watch rather than piggybacking over from the iPhone).

Throw another log on the "Now Supporting Apple Watch" fire, because Words With Friends is doing the thing. The wrist thing. I mean it supports the Apple Watch.

Granted it's still in its relative infancy, but the Apple Watch has been a bit lacking when it comes to third-party apps thanks to WatchKit not really allowing developers to do much other than create a window to a larger iPhone app. Now it looks like Watch OS 2 is going to change that.

It turns out that the Apple Watch might be the ideal device for news hounds such as me. While it’s yet to provide a perfect news reading experience, there are a few great ways of gaining some insight on your wrist.
