iPad Only App - Designed for iPad

Sev Zero is the first game made by Amazon Game Studios to have made its way to the Fire TV, and now there’s a companion app for iPad to go alongside it.

With the iPad app, players can bring friends and family into the battle against the Ne’athu, with the player on the iPad acting as air support, sending down air strikes to take out the enemy. Meanwhile, the other player can continue the tower defense and first-person shooter side of the combat.

Sev Zero: Air Support is available on iPad now and is free to download, whilst Sev Zero is available on the Amazon App Store and costs $6.99.

Newest Amazon App Update Adds Flow – Search for Multiple Items at Once Using Your Device’s Camera

Posted by on February 10th, 2014
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Amazon App, Amazon’s official iOS app, has recently been updated with an interesting new feature called “Flow.” Flow allows users to search for and order multiple items at once simply by passing their camera over them. No snapping pictures, typing in keyword searches, or scanning barcodes required. The app then saves all of the scanned items to shopping carts or wish lists where users can decide what to do with them later. I mean, do you really need that gallon of Tuscan Whole Milk?

The new Amazon App is available for free, and the update is live.

According to AppShopper, Amazon Cloud Drive Photos allows users to automatically upload and store photos to the Amazon Cloud from their iPhone and gives users access to saved files that have been uploaded from other devices. With an Amazon account, users get 5GB of free storage which can be upgraded to 20GB, 50GB, or more for a yearly cost.

It’s been done with with many iOS devices before. In public, no less. Pretty much everyone has done it, but there’s no shame in it. I am, of course, referring to using an iPhone/Pad’s wifi (or 3G) capabilities to look up an item’s price online while still in the store. Maybe it’s to check for a better price or even to see if it can be “flipped” for a decent profit, but no matter the reason people do it all the time. Now TechCruch has pointed out a new app that makes the process super easy.

Amazon Student, along with a few other Amazon apps, enables users to do all that and more. A quick scan of a barcode is all it takes, really. The idea is that it makes looking for a good price on textbooks easy, but it works on just about everything sold en-masse in a retail environment. The big difference here is that it also allows users to scan their own items to sell on Amazon if they’re eligible for trade-in. Just scan it, and if it’s a “yes” then Amazon will pay for shipping and send out a gift card.

I think the word “neat” pretty much covers it.
