2012 ADA Winners Announced at WWDC

The ADAs, as the Apple Design Awards are known, were presented for the 16th year at yesterday’s WWDC. The winners are those whose interface best exemplified the innovation the Cupertino elite hope to see on their platforms. Along with the honor and an inevitable boost in sales, winners receive a actual physical award complete with glowing Apple logo. This year there were three categories dedicated to iOS. Three apps were chosen for iPhone and iPad respectively and two student-developped apps were honored as well. On the second night of it’s 2009 World Wide Developer Conference, Apple announced the winners of the this years Apple Design Awards. The winners are split amongst the Mac and iPhone applications submitted by their developers for the competition. Winning applications are considered to be the pinnacle of design and user experience and recognize technical excellence, innovation, and outstanding achievement. This year’s iPhone application winners along with their award descriptions are:
