Yarnee Review

Odds are you use a number of different social networks on a regular basis. For instance, I use Twitter to keep in touch with what's going on in the world, Facebook to keep in touch with my friends, Instagram to look at photos from around the world, and numerous other services for various other bits and pieces. At times it can be a little overwhelming when you're trying to consolidate something to show others. This is where Yarnee enters the equation, making it simple enough to create shareable collections of things.

Working by using your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram content, you can import your photos, videos, and text updates to create a collection of content geared towards anything you have in mind. Throw in some sound clips and there's a bevy of potentially fun ideas here. For instance, you could create a collage of images connected to your recent vacation, then share it with friends and family through the app.

I had a few issues setting things up, such as my Twitter account refusing to work at first util I reinstalled, but once set up, it works pretty well. Picking and choosing what to use for which Yarn (the name given to collections) is simple enough and it really doesn't take long to create a story of sorts from your content. You're not limited by how many collections you create, plus it's possible to make them private as well as public, meaning there's a fair amount of flexibility to how many Yarns you create.

There's that sense that Yarnee isn't an entirely new concept, but it provides a simplified process for those trying to organize their social networking material. Being able to contextualize such content, either by adding extra pieces of text or simply putting everything together, is certainly useful within a busy world. There's the added bonus of being able to view other people's content too, which can open up some fun possibilities such as recipe ideas or tourist guides. Best of all, Yarnee makes it simple yet stylish to do exactly that.
